- Standard on the 300C and optional on the 300S is a 5.7-liter V-8 producing 363 hp and 394 lb-ft driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Chrysler 300 received a four-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA (out of a possible five stars). The 300 received a front crash prevention designation of Superior by the IIHS, with tests performed on a 300 equipped with Full Speed Collision Warning Plus. The 300 fully avoided a collision in the 12-mph low-speed autobrake test; in the 25-mph high-speed autobrake test, impact speed was reduced by 14 mph. In the small overlap front crash test, the 300 received a Marginal rating due to a compromised passenger footwell and predicted injuries to the lower leg and foot.
